Coffs Harbour Aboriginal Family Community Care Centre Inc. (Abcare) is an incorporated non-government Aboriginal community-based organisation that has delivered services to local Aboriginal people and families on the North Coast for more than 35 years.
Abcare services Coffs Harbour and surrounding areas, south to Nambucca, west to Ebor and north to Yamba/ Maclean, encompassing the Gumbaynggirr, Bundjalung and Yaegl nations. Abcare is governed by a board of Aboriginal elders.
After much discussion about how Abcare can help all our children and young people in our communities, we have decided to establish the Abcare Foundation.
The Abcare Foundation will support our children and young people to thrive and succeed through Aboriginal Community Grants. The Foundation will commence providing these grants in 2024.
